Big Changes Start With Small Steps...
BTChick is built on a foundation of curiosity, academic depth and a desire to understand how financial systems shape the world.
Ammy Edberg studied International Political Economy at Stockholm University, where she delved into markets, global finance and how political decisions affect economic systems. Her studies raised deeper questions about money itself — how it works, who controls it, and what alternatives exist.
Those questions led to further studies in Bitcoin and blockchain technology at University West, with a focus on the monetary, technical and societal implications of decentralized systems. During this period, Ammy became chairperson of Bitcoin Students, a student-driven initiative aimed at helping young people understand money, technology and financial sovereignty.
Alongside her studies, she got involved with the Swedish Bitcoin Association, where she contributed to Sweden's national Bitcoin dialogue and collaborated with players across the Nordic Bitcoin ecosystem. Through a combination of academic knowledge, community engagement and hands-on education, Ammy gradually established herself as one of Sweden's emerging Bitcoin educators.
After a period working at Sweden's oldest Bitcoin exchange, Ammy had the opportunity to deepen her practical understanding of the industry. Beyond customer relations, she worked on matters related to security and compliance, which gave her valuable insight into the requirements and structures surrounding financial infrastructure.
She then joined the team behind BTC Prague, Europe's largest Bitcoin conference. For a year and a half, she was responsible for the conference's social media, coordinating with the thousands of speakers involved, and the extensive planning behind one of Europe's most important meeting points for the Bitcoin industry. The role gave her a broad international network and a unique view into the industry's development, from entrepreneurs and developers to investors, thought leaders and established financial players.
Since August 1, 2026, Ammy has been General Manager for the Nordics at Bitcoin Suisse, one of the industry's most respected companies. The role marks another step in her journey — from student-driven education and grassroots engagement to the most established circles of international finance. There, she has been able to build on her understanding of Bitcoin while taking her place in the financial settings where the monetary systems of the future are being shaped.
At the same time, BTChick continues alongside her professional roles. The brand serves as a link to the wider Bitcoin ecosystem and as a platform for continued knowledge-sharing, education and dialogue. It allows Ammy to stay connected across the entire industry — from grassroots, enthusiasts and new users to entrepreneurs, institutions and the finance world's inner circles. BTChick therefore continues to stand for the same core idea: making Bitcoin understandable, accessible and relevant, while building a bridge between the people and environments that together shape Bitcoin's future.
